Woooo Hooooo! I finally got a layout done. Funny thing is that I got a box of scrappy stuff and a whole kit and only used one little ol' thing from each one. The big bright pink flower is from Lisa, and the chipboard arrow was from the kit. Everything else I already had....oops the black ribbon is from Lisa too. I know I've seen this style of LO before... many times actually so I'm not sure if there's any one person to credit. Let's just say its my own take of it.

I think I lost it.

until now... I bought my first kit!!! AND it's beachy!!! I am a sucker for beach stuff. Its from Scrapbook deals 4u and I can't wait to get started scrapping with it!

A Scrapping Good Time!
This one is long overdue...
Waaaaaaay back in June I got together with a couple of new scrapping buddies who are freaking awesome!! Here's Elizabeth and Greta working hard. Let me tell you when these gals get together to scrap, they aren't playing around...they do some serious stuff.

So for once I was actually able to do quite a bit, instead of sitting around gabbing. Don't get me wrong, we talked and gossiped, just not so much that nothing got done. I loved it! I really hope that we are able to get together again soon.
Greta let me use some of her Thicker stash...They are so cool especially the foam ones. I think I might have to start a stash of my own.
I know these two pagers might be kinda hard to see....sorry about that. I also need to finish up the journaling on them, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks Lisa!!!
This lovely package was sent to me from Lisa (AKA Scrappycatz). I "met" her through WeCrafty. I was whining about not having enough scrappy supplies and she so kindly sent me some of hers. Wasn't that so sweet? Big thanks to Lisa! She ROCKS!!!

It's been a hard day...
Today my mother in law's husband passed away. I was with her in the hospital (Ochsner's) in New Orleans when they took him off life support. It was not unexpected, but at the same time it was too soon. My daughter was very close to him; she called him Papa. It will be very hard for her this week.
Services will be sometime this week...I'll know more tomorrow.
Prayers appreciated...

I wanna win it too....
I saw this quilt on Karen's blog and decided that I wanted in on the action too! Isn't it gorgeous? Here's the link so that you can have a chance to win it too. I'm definitely not doing the video, but it will be fun to watch them. This blog is going onto my stalker list, too.

LOST....
I have four days off from work (thank God!!) and I had plans for updating my blog. I feel like I haven't been able to do anything since going back to work, except work. Unfortunately, I won't be able to add any pics b/c I can't find my USB cord for my camera. I am hoping that I left it at my mom's house, but I don't think she's even looked for it. So I guess I'll have to go check up on my growing list of other bloggers. And then maybe do some housework, especially the laundry. Then again, it's already after 2 o'clock and I'm still in my pj's, so I may not get anything done today...

That's the short version...hopefully I will find some time this weekend to splain some more, but for now here are some pics from my sister's visit...
